 성육신의 감사

하늘의 영광 버리고
낮고 낮은 이 땅에
말씀이 육신 되어
우리 가운데 거하시네.

왕의 자리를 마다하고
말 구유 안에 누우신 주,
그 사랑 어찌 말하랴,
오직 감사, 또 감사뿐.

죄로 물든 나의 삶에
빛으로 다가오신 주,
영원한 생명 주시려
십자가 길 마다않으셨네.

오늘도 그 사랑 기억하며
마음 다해 찬양 드리네.
성육신의 그 은혜 안에
날마다 감사하리라.

He Gave Up Heaven’s Glory

He gave up heaven’s glory bright,
To dwell in earth’s low, humble light.
The Word made flesh, came down to stay,
Among us now, God’s love displayed.

He left His throne, refused the crown,
In manger low, He laid Him down.
Oh, how to speak such love so true?
All I can say is, “Thank You. Thank You.”

To my sin-stained and broken soul,
He came as light to make me whole.

To grant me life that knows no end,
He chose the cross, my truest Friend.

Today again, that love I sing,
With all my heart, my praise I bring.

For incarnation’s grace divine,
With grateful soul, I make it mine.
